JOB DESCRIPTION:
As an application engineer at CIG, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge optical transceiver technology for high-growth AI data center applications. You will support hyperscale data center and telecommunication customers. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and contribute to critical projects involving advanced optical communication products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide technical support to customers on cutting-edge optical transceiver products
Engage with customers to understand customer requirement and provide solutions
Work closely with product development teams, such as hardware design engineers, firmware engineers to solve customer issues
Provide technical assistant to sales team and operation team on pre-sale and post-sales activities
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics
At least 3 years of experience in application engineering, software development, testing, or hardware design in the optical communication or networking industry
Knowledge of optical transceivers, networking, telecommunications, and data center infrastructure
Familiar with automated testing and programming
Experience in the following areas is a plus: fiber optics, network switches, routers, DSP, and Ethernet
Excellent problem-solving skills and hands-on experience
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to travel to support customers
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, C) for software test and automation
Experience with test equipment (e.g., Keysight oscilloscopes, network analyzer)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking an Optical Engineer to support the design, development, and optimization of optical transceiver products for high-speed optical communication systems. The candidate will contribute to optical system design, fiber coupling optimization, lens development, optical characterization, and performance validation for next-generation optical communication technologies.
The ideal candidate has strong expertise in optical design tools, optical modeling, and laboratory characterization techniques.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and optimize optical systems for optical transceiver applications
Develop and optimize fiber coupling solutions for efficient optical power transfer
Design, analyze, and optimize optical lenses and beam shaping systems
Perform optical modeling and simulation using Zemax
Conduct optical tolerance analysis and performance evaluation
Characterize and validate optical components and optical assemblies
Perform laboratory optical measurements including:
Optical power measurement
Insertion loss
Return loss
Coupling efficiency
Beam quality characterization
Support optical alignment, packaging, and assembly development
Troubleshoot optical system performance issues and implement improvements
Develop technical reports, specifications, and validation procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and manufacturing
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in: Optical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, Applied
Physics, or Related technical field
Experience with optical system design and analysis
Proficiency in Zemax optical design software
Knowledge of fiber optics and fiber coupling techniques
Experience with lens design and optical component development
Understanding of optical alignment and tolerance analysis
Experience using optical laboratory equipment and characterization methods
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in collaborative engineering environments

Cambridge Industries USA Inc. (CIG USA) is looking for an exceptional individual to work in our business operation team on day-to-day activities.
CIG USA, and its foreign affiliates (CIG), is a leading ODM (Original Design and Manufacture) company with a focus on the residential and enterprise grade network equipment market. Its products include broadband access devices, wireless access products, and data center interconnect products. CIG has built up the R&D center in US, Japan and China. The sales and operation team also present in Europe and Southeast Asia.
The CIG USA business operation team handles the daily business including: 1) Managing customer orders to ensure accurate and timely processing and fulfillment. 2) Purchasing goods and materials from factories and suppliers. 3) Coordinating with the factory planning team to align delivery schedules. 4) Arranging global logistics to ensure on-time delivery of products. 5) Managing inventory and maintaining accurate business records. 6) booking the accounts receivable and accounts payable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform activities in designated areas related to business operations.
Keep operational data and documents up to date in ERP and local databases.
Communicate with internal and external parties to achieve business objectives.
Assist with procurement activities, including purchasing final products, parts, or equipment from factories, vendors, and partners to support engineering, manufacturing, office functions, or customer deliveries. Maintain accurate and up-to-date open backlog records aligned with inventory and financial records.
Coordinate logistics requests, address delays, and ensure the delivery of goods and materials on time.
Support the accounts payable process by verifying documentation and ensuring timely and accurate invoice payments.
The work schedule regularly requires evening hours to coordinate with Asia-based manufacturing and logistics teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork and effective communication
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Ability to handle multiple tasks
